How long is the incision or cochlear implant scar?
Inserting a cochlear implant requires an incision behind the ear. It is not long! Our incision is just under 2 inches. It is directly behind the ear and rarely goes up into the hairline. We almost never shave hair. Sutures (stitches) are absorbable and fall off on their own.
